While Labor Day weekend felt like it was two weeks long, this week flew by. I finally got my fires extinguished last night at around 2am. I did NOT want to say good morning to the world today. I told richard yesterday that I would be late today and only visit once. He said just take a break you dont have to come, but I told him Id give him a sabbath on Sunday with no visitors, no therapy, just rest.
He called me in a slight panic at 7am very disoriented. He woke up thinking he was at home but knew he wasn't and couldn't figure out where he was. Obviously something is clicking as he picked up the phone to call me knowing that I am here.
I had plans with Bill this afternoon though. I made peace with the parking fairies, and drove out of my coveted Oak St spot saying goodbye. Just as well as 3 days parked there my car looks like its covered in volcano soot. No idea what that is all about. Picked Bill up and we went over to Rainbow Market. This place is what Whole Foods is if it was REALLY run and operated by druid hippies. Half dozen varieties of ripe heirloom tomatoes, a wall of keifer, raw milk, goat milk....free samples of a goat cheese that was like a cross between Parmesan and goat. HOLLA! so good! Please bury me with a block of Parmesan.
I had 4 things on my list - 2 supplements, raw milk, fage, and liquid stevia. I walked out of there with a $120 bill. Their full fat greek yogurt packs a whopping 300 calories per so I got about 4 of them. They had coconut milk culture which I had to taste, got a few of those. Hummus / pita for lunch, and some indian food for dinner. (please also bury me with curry).
Supplements and the stevia were the bank breaker. You have to unload and pack your own groceries here. It is literally owned by the employees - its a coop....I cant wait to go back.
Dropped Bill off at a corner - he had to run more errands or to the library or something or the other. I came back to get my stuff in the fridge, eat quick and head to Richard. He called me on the way back which I missed. Now Im feeling guilty. When he does this I think - I should be there twice a day because he needs company.
Ate quickly and since my parking fairy peace has been made, and I want to bring him refridgerated yogurt, Im going to drive and bring buck.
Didn't even use my GPS to get there /flex. I got that section of the street grid figured out. He was asleep, and I swear ONLY rolled over to be civil because of Buck. Everyone loves Buck. Everyone wants to say hello and pet him.
I brought him Aloe Vera / Honey Dew water, a full fat fig greek yogurt, and some donut holes. He didn't want to eat. He didn't even really want to roll over to visit much. He did say that he ate the entire plate of his short ribs but that someone was bitching at him about it. Dr or nurse - I think it was the nurse.
I showed him the supplements, and explained what each one was. I was happy to find that the Astaxanthin was in a gel cap with Vitamin E so it has a built in fat - smart! I still explained that he needed to be sure to eat when he was taking them so he got the most possible absorption of each. He understood. He thought we were being rogue and off Dr. orders taking them but I explained that it was approved by his doctor and that the nursing staff would administer it to him. He was happy about that.
No one was really around today and I don't know why. His case manager Bella was at the desk, and the Nurse manager. She knew exactly what it was that I was holding and told me they would start him on them at dinner tonight and took them from me.
Its only 4:30 and Im yawning. Im going to run through some tests on my code from last night to be sure its working for tomorrow, heat up my indian food, and then crawl into bed and watch a netflix movie and call it an early night.
I can see by traffic logs that this is being read. I signed up for my own email delivery and realized that if I attach a video to a post that it does not come through in the email. If you have signed up for email notification from this blog, and receive an email that has a box with a giant red X in the middle - that is a video that you will need to come to the actual site to see.
I need a haircut and very well may walk myself down a few blocks to an Avaeda salon this weekend. My new eyeglasses should be ready next week sometime as well.
