I had dinner with Arlene and her family. It was about as close to being home as I could have hoped for.
I don't have nay update on Richard other than to say that he is very disoriented right now. I will see him tomorrow. I posted this on Facebook and I'll make this my daily post here as well and say goodnight.
Of all the blessings this life holds some of the most powerful ones can only be felt by the soul. Seeing and understanding another's pain, reaching a hand out to just say I am here, I care....a word, phrase or gesture, so trivial to you can be a miracle to another. Knowing that someone cares for you, in an often seemingly cold and uncaring world, can move a heart out of loneliness and into the light. Never take for granted the immense power we all possess to touch the lives of others. Never forget our own power to treat ourselves with the same love, compassion, caring, forgiveness and grace we so quickly extend to another, yet too often withhold from ourselves. Be your own blessing, today and every day, for we are all so very worth it.
You cant take your 'stuff ' with you when you go, but you can take the love.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
